I cant offer my place for CNY. coz my relatives will take turns to come over to visit. i will be in sin for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd day of CNY. If nobody's place is convenient, then we just go watch late night movie or something. But the thing is, when is terri available? And when terri is available, i might not be.

At the last gathering, we tentatively set a date which is 23rd of Dec 2008 to meet up. The fellow kind soul, DANIEL, offered his house for us to gather there, so that he can no need to travel to other places *tsktsk*. Also Jon nv reply that day his house available or not..... Jon u go mia liao is it!

Ok here's the plan for that day:

1) Potluck Makan Session/ others (u guys can still decide)
2) Gifts X-change with budget of ard $10. (u guys can secretly take edmond's idea: DAiSO. haha)
3) Gamble n games: poker la, or mj la or other types of boardgames also can)
4) Photo-whoring n also most impt is to just have fun :)

Okie tentatively the plan is like that... Feel free to post ur views/suggestions. If any changes/discussions of dates, pls do so earlier... so we can still make amicable changes :)

Fizah.... Congrats on your wedding. thanks for inviting us. this is the first Malay Wedding I have attended so was a great experience for me. The food was great, esp. the beef. hi guys, im in houston. Moscow was super cold. experienced snow first time in my live. but only light snowfall la. Red Square is really nice. The mosque is so colourful until it looks like as if it was on postcard.

Houston is a shopping paradise. opposite the hotel is a big mall with coach, gucci, dior etc. They got food court too! Going factory outlet tmr. One guy is renting a mini van. i wished u guys were here to share the fun with me man.

I was lookin at the HK photos. I saw qiute few funny stuff. The ones which I was laughing at Edmond when he ordered the ma la mian. The hoody club (which includes Terri, Sanlly and myself), the flashing club (which is essentially just Terri), the birthday cake you guys gave, the SPCA poses we did on the train among other damn funny stuff. Think I am gg to develop some of the photos like I did for the Redang trip.

Thats Okonomiyaki on the left. The 2 guys on the right plus another brought me out during my stay in Japan last time.

Thats how i spent my 3 days holiday. Im happy to see them again cos i didnt thought i will be seeing them again this soon. But I hope I will meet more of them the next time I go to Yokkaichi.

Got a surprise on my desk early in the morning when i reached my work place. No cake though but I like it. ;) A love and my name under in Jap using snacks.

I am currently doing homestay in my prof''s house. When I reached home, my "parents'' in Japan celebrated my bday at home. They sang bday song for me as well. ;) ;)

This place is superb. You can do all kinds of sports and games here; tennis, badminton, volleyball, baseball, skating, fishing, game arcade, karaoke, gun shooting and blah blah blah... SUPERB!

Bangkok Trip Twist

I realise that the Bangkok trip planning isn't going anywhere. Ok, this is what I have decided that is the best for myself. I will be going with my gf and sister on 11 - 14 Dec. I will book the tickets for myself soon. Tiger air is the cheapest at $288. The reason for not going over the X'mas period is because of the difficulties in getting leave at that period and the most expensive tickets (and possibily hotel rates). Another thing is that I have promised my sister to go with her and she will lnot be able to make it over the x'mas period.

I am not sure who is keen or who is not. Keen people please let me know asap.

Where are you guys???!!! Terri didn't even make a single comment abt Dily's efforts! LOL!

About masks, Seikisho Mask White (by kose) is good.. recommended by my japanese batchies too.
My last flt i flew with a leading stewardess who was abt 32 years old. Her skin is super transculcent and smooth. i kept pestering her regarding her skincare. Then she told me she use Shiseido. It's in a bright red-orange bottle. cannot find in sin, only in japan. So, try ur luck! I will be hunting for it too!

I think there is nothing wrong to write something in other languages. Of cos when it is meant for everybody, english should be the common language. I think there is a serious need to speak a common language and not just squirting japanese here and there because one thinks is cool.

Back to the topic of outing, I think we need to do one up REAL FAST before October. I don't think I need to give a reason for wanting this outing. I know some pple are sort of missing from the blog but there is no need to artificially force it to be alive if we cannot commit the time.

Anyways, Jonathan has been putitng in a lot of effort to try to organise outings. So I think we shd start to rotate the role a bit. I thought that used to be the practice. What happened ah???

Year End Trip

Edmond aka Almond and I have discussed about the possibility of a trip to Bangkok this year end when we were at HK. given the present situation at Bangkok, some of u guys may think that it is not safe. I feel that the situation is only inconvenient, not exactly dangerous. We don't support Thaksin (even if we do, they don't really care), so there is nothing these protesters have against us.

Almond said he will be checking on the details for the trip. I think we will need a confirmation on attendance quick if we want a cheaper deal. My gf and I are already in. So what you guys think???

Im going on a 5 day flt to amsterdam tmr. dont miss me hor. i will try to bring back some presents la. but first month im still very budgeted. pay not out but have to change euros liao. BROKE.

Drinking plans!

An alcoholic like me cannot resist the thought of drinking in school after lab hours! Imagine me, grabbing a few bottles of beer in an ice bucket (ice is from the lab ice machine of cos!) and drinking with Jon, Daniel and a few other applied chem guys in the canteen after a long day of lab. Shiok lor!

i'm fine with this plan :)
